Description
The Hare of Ardrishaig Tartan: Inverness District
I created this illustration during a family holiday in a beautiful old cottage in Ardrishaig. Spending time surrounded by nature offered a welcome opportunity to slow down, observe and draw. The setting inspired me to create a hare as a new addition to my Scottish wildlife collection.
I chose Inverness District tartan to give this character his own Scottish identity, bringing together my love of wildlife and tartan.
The Hare of Ardrishaig holds a personal memory of that holiday—a fond reminder of the cottage, time spent with my family and the inspiration I found in the surrounding countryside.
